Improving our pitches

Annual maintenance of our pitches is about to begin and we need your support to make it a success

It might surprise you to know that it costs around £10,000 a year to maintain and improve our rugby pitches.

At around this time each year, we plant new grass seeds, fertilise, and sand the pitches (to improve drainage and add some material back to replace all that mud that's taken home on dirty kit and boots each week!).

To ensure the new grass has a chance to establish itself, we are closing the pitches until early June.

There'll be some temporary fencing in place and signage to explain.

Please help us get our pitches into the best possible condition by staying off the rugby pitches during this time.

All our users will benefit from this in the longer term, from Under 7s starting their rugby journey this summer, through to our senior teams.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Please feel free to drop me a line with any questions. We'll confirm reopening of the pitches here (on our website) and on social media.
