With a lot of players missing through illness or injury and down to 15 traveling and passive scrums to start the match. There was very little in it, in the first twenty mins of the match which saw the hosts get a couple of pens to see us go behind 6-0 then and not for the first time this season silly basic errors saw try scoring chances lost, overall the forwards held their own and the visitors backs looked far more dangerous than the hosts, but with mistake after mistake the home side scored a converted try and then our back got Lewis Evans a try which was well converted by Alex Moore only for Gwernyfed to score a couple more before half time and we saw the score line at 27-7.

Most of the second half saw the Tyrchs in charge with both territory and possession being held by the visitors, during this period Nathan score a further two tries, one of which was converted by Alex Moore, silly mistakes again allowed the hosts to score a couple of pens, but near the end of the match we saw Will Paddison score a fourth try for a bonus point and the conversion just missed for the extra losing bonus point. the final score was 33-24

The second won at home to Whitchurch 83-5 and the youth with bare numbers were beaten by Llanishen 7-41.7

Next Saturday is the local derby with Taffs Well RFC visit the Parc, KO 2-30pm and there is a re-union also on the day of old players and committee and members, buffet at 1-30 for the re-union in the bar.
