On a bright sunny afternoon Caerphilly kicked off the match and pressured the Tyrchs defence for quite a number of minutes. This pressure finally told with the Tyrchs conceding a penalty which was successfully converted.

The Tyrchs restarted the game and in turn exerted a long period of pressure on Caerphilly eventually resulting in a scrum some 8 metres from the Caerphilly line. The Tyrchs won the scrum and after Nick Jones picked up at the base of the scrum Nathan Williams scored in the corner. The conversion was unsuccessful.

Caerphilly restarted the game and following a series of penalties Gethin Thomas slotted one over making the score Caerphilly 3 Tyrchs 8.
Caerphilly restarted the game and following a good exit the Tyrchscamped in the Caerphilly 22 for some time and after putting the Caerphilly scrum under considerable pressure Rhys Thomas scored a try which was converted by Gethin Thomas.

At the restart the Tyrchs quickly ran the ball back resulting in another try by Kieron Williams. The conversion was unsuccessful.
The referee blew for half time shortly after that so the half time score was Caerphilly 3 Tyrchs 20.
The Tyrchs kicked off the second half and after a period of pressurewere awarded a series of penalties which were not converted thus handing the initiative back to Caerphilly. Caerphilly then took the game to the Tyrchs scoring two tries from line outs one of which was converted making the score Caerphilly 15 Tyrchs 20.
The Tyrchs restarted the game with Caerphilly looking strong. The Tyrchs however continued to punish Caerphilly at the scrum eventually leading to another try which was converted by Gethin. Caerphilly 15 Tyrchs 27.
Not to be undone Caerphilly roared back after the restart scoring a good try which was not converted. The referee then shortly blew up for full time with the Tyrchs winners.
Final score Caerphilly 20 Tyrchs 27.
